How do I request a provider consultation?

Connecting with a VitalCare Connect Provider

Reaching a provider is now both fast and easy. The following steps will provide a brief overview of how to connect to a provider:

  1. After logging into VitalCare Connect, click "Request New Visit" at the top of the app

  2. Select either single or multi-patient call
    1. Single patient call: connect to a provider to discuss a single patient's needs
    2. Multi-patient call: add multiple patients to a queue to discuss with the same provider in a single consultation
  3. Enter the patient details (note: EHR integrated facilities will simply search for the patient's name)
  4. Use the "Chief complaint" box to share details relevant to the consultation request (note: this will appear on the daily summary report for facility leadership as well as your medical director provider group team)
  5. Click to add any attachments using the camera on the iPad (e.g. lab reports)
  6. Review the patient consent
  7. Click "Connect to a Provider"
  8. A provider will join the call shortly
