How do I complete a consultation call?

Completing a Consultation Call

The following steps provide an overview of how to complete the call process after finishing the consultation with a provider:

  1. Verify the patient name listed on the consultation.

    1. This is particularly important for a multi-patient call to ensure you have the correct orders for the correct patient.
  2. Review the orders given by the VitalCare Connect provider under the patient's name.
    1. The nurse will acknowledge receipt of this verbal order from the provider by clicking "Confirm Order" once they have properly documented the details of the consultation in their EHR.
  3. Rate your provider by giving a star rating as well as any additional written feedback that can help us ensure a positive experience for your staff.
  4. In the scenario that a transfer to the emergency department was avoided, indicate Yes / No in the appropriate box. This is used for internal reporting purposes only.
